Lahore, Pakistan: Pakistan’s scrutiny forces have cleared Kamra Airbase after search operation following a late night attack on country’s one of the largest airbases in Attock district.
Senior anchor person and TV host of a program on Geo TV, a local TV Network, Hamid Mir said that ”The terrorist attack was foiled due to security high alert at the airbase since the militants had earlier attacked Mehran Naval Base in Karachi last year. There were three security layers of the Pakistan Air Force and the Pakistan Army while a security unit was also deployed near the aircraft hanger.”
”The attack was foiled by at the first phase by the Pakistan Army. The outer circle of the security was assigned to the army commodores. At least nine terrorists tried to enter the base by scaling 9 feet wall and cutting off 3 feet barbed wire. A soldier identified as Asif challenged the terrorists and stopped them from proceeding ahead. The brave soldier, deployed at one of the post kept fighting with militants until he embraced martyrdom,” Hamid added.
Hamid Mir said that while Asif, the daring soldier, was daring the terrorists, his colleague called in army and Air Force Commandos, who killed terrorists one by one easily.
