The actor addressed the press at the music launch of his upcoming film Talaash and said: ”I am leaving for Haj and will be returning in the first week of November.” 

Aamir had recently asked his mother if he could get her a gift and she expressed her desire to go on a pilgrimage. According to principles of Islam, women can only go to Haj accompanied either by their husband, brother or son, Aamir promised his mother that he will make the trip to Mecca with her.
