A former iPhone user sued Apple Inc. claiming that the company is not delivering texts (from her friends and family) to her since she switched to an Android-based smartphone.
According to sources, Adrienne Moore sued Apple in a court in California, alleging that: ”After she switched to a Samsung smartphone, she could no longer receive text messages from iPhone users.”
Literally, iMessage system for some unknown reasons is stopping text messages sent from other Apple devices and wouldn’t deliver them to her new Android-running device.
Users from round the globe have claimed that their Apple devices is behaving weirdly when sending text messages to non-Apple users. Actually the texts are showing up late, or their device is hiding texts. The New York Times’ David Segal also complained that he can’t receive messages from iPhone users altogether anymore. It must be mentioned here that David also switched to an Android-based smartphone.
Now you people must be hitting something in your mind. But this thing sounds crazy for tech experts, as they are naming this punishment as a ‘Bug.’
According to an Apple expert, the problem happens when Apple fails to de-register phone numbers from its iMessage database, and attempts to forward texts to iMessage, even if the user no longer has access to the service, even resulting loss of text messages.
